About Me

Teaching Japanese the Bahamian Way

Hey! I’m Kiandro Scavella, better known online as Scavella Sensei — a Bahamian with a deep passion for Japan and language learning.

After years of studying, living, and immersing myself in Japanese culture, I built this platform to help Bahamian learners master Japanese in a way that actually makes sense to them.

I believe learning Japanese doesn’t have to be intimidating — it just needs to be relevant, structured, and fun.

My Background

  • Bachelor’s in Asian Studies
  • Master’s in Multicultural Communication from Utsunomiya University, Japan
  • Fluent in Japanese (spoken, written, and cultural nuance)
  • Lived and studied in Japan, with years of firsthand cultural experience
  • Educator and content creator helping Bahamians connect with Japan through lessons and TikTok content

My journey from The Bahamas to Japan taught me what most learners miss — Japanese isn’t just a subject, it’s a mindset. That’s exactly what I teach my students.

 My Teaching Style

Every lesson I teach is intensive, interactive, and completely adjusted to the learner’s pace and goals.
No one-size-fits-all approach here — just real progress.

Students who enroll in any paid plan get exclusive access to my Google Classroom, which includes:

  • Full Japanese textbooks and practice resources
  • Assignments, quizzes, and progress tracking
  • Audio content for pronunciation practice
  • Downloadable worksheets and grammar notes

Even outside your lesson hours, you’ll have 24/7 access to study material so you can keep improving at your own pace.

My job is simple: make sure you understand Japanese — not just memorize it.

 Why I Do This

When I started learning Japanese, there were no Bahamian teachers or examples to look up to. I want to change that.

Scavella Sensei is about creating a bridge — connecting Bahamian learners to Japanese language and culture, one lesson at a time.
If anime, travel, or cross-cultural communication brought you here, you’re in the right place.
